About everyman
TacheBack is run by the Institute of Cancer Research’s Everyman Campaign. Everyman’s mission is to cross out male cancer. We can achieve this by making everyone recognise the tell-tale signs, and understand the importance of treating them.
Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15-44. Incident rates are increasing dramatically, yet men’s awareness is very low.
Meanwhile, prostate cancer has now replaced lung cancer as the UK’s most common cancer in men. Almost 32,000 new cases are diagnosed every year and one man dies of prostate cancer every hour.
Research into male cancer is severely under-funded. All the money raised through TacheBack will fund vital research at the Everyman Centre, Europe’s only research centre dedicated to male cancers.
