I was in a few local papers myself after last year's Tache Wars win, but never thought about trying them during the event. Good job on getting some corporate donations too :-)

It's quite easy to raise that amount when you work in a building of about 1400 people and 95% of them men. Mind you, I only know a fraction of them and I did have to force myself upon them (so to speak) to get sponsorship. At least it worked :-)

It's a shame to see the odd comment regarding the high votes without the money to match it. Tache wars is a bit of fun intending to raise money for a worthy charity. Every penny helps. Wayne actually raises thousands of pounds for various charities every year and has done so for many years now. It's not his fault he is so popular with the voters. He is well known in his town and in my opinion has the best tache. He is starting to look like a purple and orange walrus. Now that has got to be worth a few more votes. So stop the negative comments and vote for your favourite tache of 2008!

Hi Peter, to be honest I ask a lot from my friends and family getting them to sponsor me for a charity event every other month so I can't really complain. I raised money for a Childrens Charity last month and have 2 events next month where I'm asking for money for a Childrens Charity as well as Tickled Pink. It's not the amount raised its the fact people have helped. Id love to raise thousands for this but I do raise thousands every year just for lots of different charities. Your the secone person to say I should be raising more than I have considering how many votes Ive got but thats the reason its not as high as Id like...but hey, theres still time too add to that total yet ;)
